Restrictive Practices support focuses on participant safety, wellbeing and dignity where there may be behaviours of concern or complex support needs. Services are delivered in a person-centred and rights-based way, with a focus on reducing risk, promoting positive behaviour support and ensuring any restrictive practice is used only where necessary, properly authorised and in line with relevant NDIS requirements. The aim is to protect the participant and others while supporting greater independence, choice, dignity and quality of life.
